Release Notes 6.1.3

Release Notes > Release Notes 6.1.3

Virima 6.1.3 introduces powerful new integrations including Cato Networks and Kemp Load Balancer support, along with an Intune Import Scheduler for automated CMDB updates. This release enhances CMDB functionality with bulk software imports, improved MMC certificate mapping, and a streamlined cloud import status display. Several bug fixes address agent scan credential issues, Apple Silicon Mac login patch support, and report popup browser refresh problems. User action is required for this update.

  • Discovery
    New Feature

    Cato Networks Integration (BETA)
Added support for Cato Networks, enabling discovery and import of Cato-managed network assets into Virima CMDB.

  • New Feature

    Kemp Load Balancer Integration (BETA)
Added support for Kemp Load Balancer, allowing users to discover and manage Kemp load balancer devices as part of their infrastructure inventory.

  • Discovery
    Enhancement

    Scheduler for Intune Import
Added scheduling support for Intune imports. Users can now automate recurring Intune imports without manual triggers, ensuring CMDB data stays up to date.

  • Enhancement

Cloud import status display — all integrations (AWS, Azure, Meraki, Intune, Cato)
The import progress status during cloud data imports is now simplified and consistent across all integrations.

    Removed (Meraki & Intune):
    1. Adding Data — removed as an intermediate step.
2.No Data Found — replaced with “Completed”.

After: All cloud imports follow a single, consistent flow:
    1.Importing — import in progress.
2.Completed — import finished successfully (including when no data was returned).
3.Failed — import encountered an error.
This simplifies tracking import progress and understanding the outcome at a glance, regardless of the cloud integration used.

  • Enhancement

    FortiGate HA Discovery
Both nodes of a FortiGate HA active-passive pair are now fully discovered and captured in CMDB with their serial number, hostname, and manufacturer. A Contains relationship is established between the Firewall Cluster and its member Firewall CIs when the Process Network Connections job runs.

  • CMDB
    Enhancement

    Import Functionality for Major Software
Added a new import feature to Major Software, allowing users to bulk add software records. Previously, only manual entry was available.

  • Enhancement

    Streamlined CMDB Details Page
The CMDB details page now shows only fields that contain values by default, providing a cleaner, more focused view. A “Show All Properties” option allows users to expand the view and see every available property when needed.

  • Enhancement

    Improved MMC Certificate Mapping
MMC certificate data is now shown correctly for each CI after rescanning, even if multiple hosts use the same IP address.

  • Enhancement

BSM Map View — Level Depth Now Defaults to 1 and Slider Enabled for Affected Business Application View
Switching between view types — Infrastructure, Communication, ADM, Service Topology, Network, Affected Business Application, and Cloud Topology — in the BSM CI Map View now resets the Level Depth to Level 1 on each selection, and opening the page without a level parameter also defaults to Level 1. The Level Depth slider, previously disabled for the Affected Business Application View and hard-coded to Level 5, is now interactive and consistent with all other view types.

  • Integration
    Enhancement

ServiceNow and TeamDynamix Credential Pages — “Metadata is Loading” Note Added
The credential popup for ServiceNow and TeamDynamix now displays a “Note: Metadata is loading from , please wait.” message while metadata is being loaded after a credential save, along with a disabled Saving spinner to prevent re-submission mid-load.

  • Admin
    Enhancement

    History Tab for Major Software
Added a dedicated History tab for Major Software records, enabling users to view a complete audit trail of additions and modifications, including who made each change and when it occurred.

  • Admin
    Bug Fixes

Duplicate Remediation Column Personalization & Isolation
Improved column personalization for Duplicate Remediation when viewing duplicate CIs in the drill-down table. Users can customize and save column layouts and filters; those settings persist when reopening the page.

  • Reports
    Bug Fixes

Report Popout Browser – Page Refresh Issue
Fixed an issue where, after exiting a report popout browser, the parent page became unresponsive and required a manual refresh before any element could be clicked. The page now remains fully interactive after closing the popout.

  • Bug Fixes

Dashboard “Add Content” Search — Fixed for Non-Admin Users
Fixed an issue where the search functionality in the Dashboard Add Content popup returned no results for non-admin users. Admin users were unaffected. Non-admin users can now search for and add eligible dashboard content based on their permissions.

  • Discovery Application (v6.1.4029) & Agent (v6.1.123)
    Bug Fixes

Last Scanned Column in Associate Agent Grid
Added a Last Scanned column to the agent grid on the Agent Schedules → Associate Agent page. Users can now view when an agent last completed a scan directly from this page, making it easier to identify active vs. stale agents without navigating away. The column supports sorting and filtering, consistent with other grid columns.

  • Bug Fixes

Discovery Agents: Incorrect “Deleted Successfully” Message on Agents Without a Schedule
Fixed an issue on the Client → Discovery Agents page where clicking Delete Schedule on an agent with no existing schedule incorrectly displayed a “Deleted Successfully” message. The action is now properly handled — the system shows “No schedule available to delete.”

  • Bug Fixes

System Information: Missing CPU Type and CPU Count on Agent Scan
Fixed an issue where CPU Type and CPU Count fields under Discovered Items / CMDB → System Information were not populated when the host was discovered via Agent Scan. These fields now appear correctly for Agent Scans, consistent with Normal Scan behavior.

  • Bug Fixes

PowerShell Agent Scan: Credential Dependency Removed
Fixed an issue where Agent-based scans failed with errors such as “No working credential found” or “Could not execute commands successfully” when credentials were disabled or deactivated. Agent scans now run using the agent’s local execution context/privileges and successfully collect host data without depending on stored credential profiles.

  • Bug Fixes

Apple Silicon Mac Last Login Fetch Support
Fixed agent self-scan failure to fetch last login information on Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs by adding architecture-specific code paths and using compatible system information sources.

  • Global Platform Changes
    Enhancement

Location Column in Scheduled Scans and Imports
Added Location as a selectable column in the Personalize List Columns configuration for the Scheduled Scans and Imports landing page and all drill-down pages. Users can now view, sort, and personalize the Location column alongside existing fields like Name, HostName, Client, IsActive, PreviousTriggerTime, and NextTriggerTime. The preference is saved per user.
