The 5.13 release strengthens discovery (MMC, Apache, Tomcat, VLAN, multilingual support), improves security (SSH ciphers, SAML, certificate auth), and resolves critical bugs in discovery, CMDB, and integrations. It also introduces usability improvements in reports and ServiceNow alerts. Users are required to update to v1.0.4019 and may need to follow manual update steps if automatic updates fail.

Added support for discovering MMC Certificates, Apache Webserver, and Apache Tomcat Server using the PowerShell probe.
Added the ability to install the Linux Agent through the application.
Added VLAN support for Meraki import.
Added support for Organization Unit ID in AWS imports.
Added support for handling the German language in IP connections and listening process data output.
Added object support in the search parameter for CyberArk credentials.

Fixed issues related to scan completion marking.
Included certificate-based authentication support for Azure imports.
Trimmed the domain portion from the hostname for the SSH probe.

Resolved an issue where certain installed software was not being retrieved on Windows hosts using WMIC and PowerShell probe.
Resolved an issue with excluding IPs from scans when using Nmap.
Fixed an issue where the serial number value was displayed twice for the ESXi server.

Updated the SSH cipher suites to align with the latest recommendations from OpenSSH.

Resolved an issue where the remote installation of the Linux agent through application was failing.
Addressed an issue that prevented users to add new credentials, when a credential without name is already present.

Resolved an issue where stale records for certain components were not being cleared during move.

Fixed an issue that prevented VLAN data from being displayed inside the switch.

Addressed a firewall issue, that prevented ServiceNow API calls.
Added a pop-up alert to warn users on delete of ServiceNow mapping

Added SAML support for MSP user authentication.
- Business Rules
Fixed an issue were a CI failed to get associated with the hardware record that was created as part of the rule. This applied only when selected module is an ITSM module (Incident, Change, Request et.).
- Action required by users post-release:
User Advisory: Clear/Delete Browser Cache before using Virima for this release.
- Virima Admins must ensure the latest Discovery Application client is installed and updated to the latest version. Instructions for the same are provided below.
- Click on Client icon in your Discovery App to update to the latest version 1.0.4019
(Please note that if you have clicked the update button but your application is still not updating, restrictions on your network may be preventing the updates. You can download and install the most recent application version in such a case.) - To manually update the application, please follow the below steps:
- Stop the current application.
- Backup the following files: ‘C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\cat.json,’ ‘C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\hcm.json,’ ‘C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\session.txt,’ and ‘C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\config\configuration.xml.’
- Uninstall the application.
- Delete the old application record from https://login-yourregion.virima.com/www_em/pages/probe/?entity=clients.
- Download the latest version of the application from https://login-yourregion.virima.com/www_em/pages/adminHome/?entity=adminHome.
- Install the latest version of the application.
- Replace the backed-up files.
- Under Windows Services log-on, please add the service account permissions for the Virima Discovery Application.
- Start the application as an administrator.
- Verify that all the required credentials are active in the discovery application credential section.
