Business Pro Pricing
What is an asset?
An asset is one standalone configuration item (CI) in your Virima CMDB. Each CI counts once, whether Virima discovers it, a third-party tool discovers it, you import it, or you create it manually. Examples of assets include:
- Servers: physical servers, virtual machines, and hypervisor hosts
- Cloud resources: compute instances (such as AWS EC2 or Azure VMs), databases, and security groups
- Network devices: switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
- Storage
- End user devices: desktops and laptops
- Edge devices: printers, IP phones, and IoT devices
- Major software: SQL, Oracle, proprietary
- Web and application servers: IIS, Apache
- Enterprise services
What doesn't count as an asset?
These don’t count toward your asset total:
- Hardware components of a CI, such as hard drives, memory, and peripherals
- Operating systems
- Installed software (unless promoted to major software)
- Certificates
You choose what to track. If you promote a component or a software item to a standalone CI, it counts as an asset. Enterprise plans are metered differently. See “How are Enterprise plans priced?”

How does Business Pro pricing work?
Business Pro pricing depends on the number of assets in your Virima CMDB. The plan starts at 2,000 assets and can expand up to 6,000 assets. There’s no seat licensing, so your whole team gets access to Virima, with permissions set by role. Hardware and software records in Virima ITAM count only when they also exist as CIs in the CMDB.
Some organizations choose the Enterprise plan with fewer than 6,000 assets, for example when they need more than three Discovery App installations, private hosting or on-prem deployment, or a dedicated Implementation Success Manager.

What is the difference between Business Pro and Enterprise?
Both plans run on the same Virima platform and include the native CMDB with ViVID™ Service Mapping, IT Asset Management, Vulnerability Insights, all integrations, and full REST API access.
The plans differ in scale, support, and deployment options.
Business Pro fits small and midsize environments. It includes 2,000 assets, expandable up to 6,000 without changing plans, plus three discovery app installations, standard support through the in-app Support Portal, and three hours of onboarding consultation.
Enterprise fits larger environments and teams. It has no cap on total CMDB assets and adds unlimited discovery app installations, a dedicated Implementation Success Manager, priority support with same-business-day response, and private hosting or on-prem deployment. Onboarding is scoped to your specific requirements.
What happens if we go over our Business Pro asset count?
Your service continues. Discovery keeps running, and your data stays in the CMDB.
If you pass your included assets, we’ll help you choose one of three paths:
- Lower your count. Mark retired items as decommissioned, tune discovery scans and data imports, or set business rules so only the CIs that matter reach the CMDB.
- Add capacity. Expand up to 6,000 assets, and we’ll prorate your billing to right-size your plan.
- Past 6,000 assets, Enterprise is the right plan.
How does billing work?
Both plans are annual subscriptions, billed once a year in advance. Enterprise customers can discuss multi-year terms during the quote process. We have flexible payment options.
Is ViVID™ Service Mapping included?
Yes. ViVID™ Service Mapping is included in the Business Pro plan, not an add-on.
Incident and Change overlays on your service maps require a supported ITSM integration. See ITSM integrations for supported platforms and what each one enables.

What does onboarding support include?
Onboarding support gets Virima running in your environment and producing data. Our team works with yours to configure discovery, connect your ITSM platform, and build and map your first CIs.
Business Pro includes three hours of professional consultation, and you can add more hours in add-on packs.

Can we buy a single module, such as ITAM or discovery?
The Business Pro plan is only offered as a full package that includes Discovery, CMDB, ViVID™ service mapping and ITAM.
What is a Discovery App installation?
The Discovery App runs agentless discovery across your on-premises and cloud environments. It also collects scan data from Virima Discovery agents.
You install each Discovery App on a Windows server you own and control. Your discovery credentials are encrypted and stay on that server, inside your environment. The app sends scan data securely to the Virima cloud, where it is processed into your Virima instance.
Discovery App installations are included at no charge. Business Pro includes three, which covers most small and midsize environments. Enterprise includes unlimited installations for large or highly segmented networks.

Are ITSM integrations included in both Business Pro and Enterprise plans?
Yes. Business Pro includes out-of-the-box ITSM integrations, with bidirectional sync for popular ITSM platforms including ServiceNow, Ivanti, Halo, Xurrent, Jira Service Management, TeamDynamix, and Hornbill.
Virima sends CI and relationship data to your ITSM platform. Your incident and change records flow back into Virima, where they power the ViVID™ Service Mapping overlays.

How long does implementation take?
